Dr. Dejean is a general dentist who sees children and adults. She likes to book parents and kids back to back so that one trip covers the family.
With young children she shows each tool first, lets them hold the mirror and tells them what comes next. When a child's care needs a pediatric dentist, she says so and refers the family.
She speaks English and Haitian Creole with patients.

Treatment Philosophy
A first visit should not feel like a test. I go slowly, I tell children what each step will feel like, and I stop when they ask. Parents are welcome in the room, and I will explain what I see to them as well.
Outside the Office
Away from the practice, Mikayla coaches her niece's soccer team, tends a small vegetable garden and goes to the beach whenever she can.
